This weekend is Trinity Sunday. The day we confess in the Creed who God is, in response to what He has revealed to us in the Scriptures. In light of this, how would you answer the following questions: WHO is God? WHAT has He given to you? WHERE is He in your life? WHEN did you worship Him last? HOW will you thank Him today?
On Pentecost, we celebrate the day when the Holy Spirit came down upon the apostles, and with great power from above, enabled them to begin the second chapter of redeeming God's creation, by spreading the Good News that Jesus accomplished our salvation on the cross and through His empty tomb. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit gave birth to the Lord's Church on earth. But, what does this mean for us today? Join us this Sunday at 9 am as we celebrate Pentecost!
What do we receive from God when we are Baptized? A. The forgiveness of sins. B. Rescue from death and the devil. C. The Holy Spirit. D. Eternal salvation. E. All of the above. Our theme for this week is "Living as Peter's Shadow." In the early years of the Christian church, God enabled the apostles to do miraculous signs and wonders to help spread the Good News about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Acts 5:12-16, through the power of the Holy Spirit, even Peter's shadow was able to perform miracles! Today, God equips His Church on earth to follow in the footsteps of Peter. May the Lord help us to cast our shadow on all of the souls around us so more people may be saved.

Most of us have goals in this life that we would like to attain. Younger people may dream of finishing school, getting married and also having a few kids. While some parents could quite possibly be looking forward to other things, like the day when their children will move out and begin their life on their own. Isn't it interesting? As we continue down this life-long journey our goals tend to change. Middle-aged workers usually plan for retirement, and some older folks are looking forward to spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. While all of these goals are good and God-pleasing, many people wonder... Where does all of this planning and preparation lead to? For many Christians, the season of Lent is a time of public worship and personal reflection as we search the Scriptures recalling what Jesus endured for us in the days that led up to His sacrifice on Good Friday. During this holy season, God leads many of His people toward repentance. Come on out and worship the Lord with us this Sunday morning at 10 am, as we answer the question "What is Repentance?"
Throughout the course of our lives, there have been times when we have gone our own way. When we were younger, there were times when we failed to listen to our parents, as they tried to lead us in the right direction. Then, when we got older, there were also times when we rejected those who were placed in authority over us, for our own good. And each time we strayed off the God-pleasing path, we paid a price. Come on out and worship the Lord with us this Sunday morning at 10! As the Word of God reminds us whose children we are, we will also be encouraged to follow our Savior Jesus toward eternal life.

If you hurt someone and then told them that you're sorry, will their pain immediately go away? No. Truth is, they will continue to suffer until they experience enough healing to undo the damage that was inflicted upon them. This Sunday at St. Paul, we will search the Scriptures to help gain a better understanding of the healing that can sometimes be found behind the words "I'm sorry." Come on out and join us! Need a little bit of a pick me up? This Sunday at 10 am we will be celebrating the grand finale of the Epiphany Season with the Transfiguration of our Lord. This glorious vision of the kingdom of God was witnessed by three of the apostles, and encouraged them to continue to follow Jesus all the way to Jerusalem. Today, as we prepare to enter the Season of Lent, may we be enlivened by the Holy Spirit, to follow Jesus until we shall see His kingdom with our very own eyes.
